Funding

We are proud to be able to provide the 15 hour government entitlement as well as the extended 30 hour funding to all 3 and 4 year olds and 2 year funding to those eligible at Silverstone Pre-School.

Funding is accepted for each child the term after their 3rd birthday and you will receive a funding form to complete by us towards the end of the term before your child is eligible. These forms must be completed in the specified time frame to ensure the correct funding entitlement and sessions/hours can be claimed for your child.

Government Statutory 15 Hour Funding…

This funding is supplied by the government and every child is entitled to receive 15 hours a week of childcare paid for by the government. Every child is eligible for this from the term after their 3rd birthday and this continues until they go to school. Parents can choose how many hours a week they use, the full 15 hours do not need to be claimed for. Any hours used over the 15 hour entitlement will be charged at our normal standard rates. Parents do not need to apply for this funding, it will automatically be claimed for by us.

Extended 30 Hour Funding…

This funding is for working families, where a single parent or both parents work more than 16 hours per week but do not exceed an annual income of £100,000. If you are entitled to this funding, then the above 15 hour funding is included in these hours. As stated above, these hours do not need to be used in full and it is parent’s discretion how many hours to use per week.

EYPP funding…

The Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is designed to narrow the attainment gap between young children from low-income families and their peers by improving the facilities, equipment and learning experiences to benefit the growth and development of eligible children. All children aged 3 and 4 who meet the eligibility criteria will benefit from the funding. We will send out an additional form along with the funding form the month before your child is eligible to funding and we ask that you complete this to enable us to claim this additional funding for your circumstances fit the criteria.
