Fundraising
We are a charity run pre-school so fundraising is a big part of helping us progress in providing the children with the richest educational experience whilst with us. Funds raised will help maintain and update pre-school equipment, maintain the garden, provide play, craft and learning resources and help towards other costs of the pre-school.
Every term we would like to keep you up to date with ways you can get involved, dates for your diary and updates on our fundraising efforts. Please keep an eye on this page for these updates and also on our termly newsletter.
My 8 year old, 6 year old and 4 year old have all attended Silverstone Pre-School and they have loved it. It’s a great place with fabulous staff and lots of activities on offer with a large outdoor play space. They are encouraged to become independent and are therefore well prepared for school when they leave.
My daughter came to Silverstone Pre-School for almost two years, she absolutely loved her time there. She built a wonderful repour with the staff and made some lovely friends. They offered a wide range of fun filled activities and really helped her to progress with her learning. She went off to big school with confidence and always speaks about her time at Silverstone Pre-School.
Silverstone Pre-School is a warm and inviting environment for all children. The staff are attentive and dedicated to every child’s individual, developmental and emotional needs. Their philosophy of learning through play is second to none. From their outdoor play area and garden to their cooking lessons and crafts the staff have covered all experiences and activities for learning. My family enjoyed everything this setting had to offer and would highly recommend it to any family.
What is a Committee?
The Committee consists of five to twelve individuals, who are typically parents of children attending the Pre-School. These volunteers are in addition to our brilliant team of employed staff who provide the care to the children and who have received excellent parent feedback. No childcare experience is necessary for the role, but it is necessary that the management team have support alongside and above them. We have now, with the advice from Ofsted, offered the opportunity to join the committee to the outside community, meaning we can enhance the knowledge and individual skills of the committee members we elect. The committee are responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the pre-school alongside the management team and it is a legal requirement to have a committee in place, without this the pre-school is unable to operate,
Our latest fundraiser…
Returning after lockdown was a very strange and surreal time and fundraising is something that has really taken a hit due to us being closed during the pandemic and the situation we all find ourselves in. However, we used our facebook page to reach out to the parents old and new and the local community to express our desires to raise funds for a new climbing frame and to add new resources to our outdoor area. We set up a JustGiving page and within 24 hours we had exceeded our £500 target! We have been so blown away with the sheer amount of support shown to us and we continue to raise more each day to go towards new resources for the children.
